I’m featured on Jean Murray’s Author Open Mic today: http://wickedromance.wordpress.com/2012/03/06/author-open-mic-welcomes-cindy-young-turner/. Stop by and check out my guest blog about finding inspiration on the streets of Edinburgh. I also answer a few questions about the characters of Thief of Hope!
Playlist for Thief of Hope
Happy Leap Day everyone! Thought I’d do something fun and share a playlist I’ve created for Thief of Hope. I’ve failed to figure out how to embed the playlist on my blog (maybe it’s cause I’m too cheap to upgrade space?), but here’s a link to it: http://pl.st/p/22920112139. I couldn’t find all of my favorite songs, but the list has a few of the ones that helped inspire me while writing the book. I listen to a lot of movie soundtracks and Celtic music when I write. And there’s some harder stuff in there as well. It’s a rather eclectic mix. One song I really wanted to include was New Model Army’s “The Charge,” which I found on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MOCOmgJ9-g. I adore New Model Army and that is by far my favorite song of theirs.
And please, if you like any of the songs, go out and support the artists and purchase their music!
You know you’re a gamer when…
… you admit it on the internet! Aaron Michael Ritchey and I had a great interview on his blog: http://aaronmritchey.com/2012/02/16/i-get-real-with-fantasy-author-cindy-young-turner-and-we-kill-hill-giants-and-talk-dodecahedron-dice/. We chatted about fantasy, writing, and oh yeah, Dungeons & Dragons.
Blog radio interview
My friend and fellow author Alan Zendell and I were interviewed on Giovanni Gelati’s talk radio blog today: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/gelatisscoop/2012/02/08/cindy-young-turner-and-allan-zendell-stop-by
This was my first live interview. Being interviewed with someone else helped, although I wasn’t too nervous. Once we started I got into the groove. Next stop, panelist at Balticon in May!
